Mirell Talbre graduated from Tallinn University with a degree in Estonian Philology in 2022 and from the Baltic Film, Media and Arts School with a degree in Screenwriting in 2026. As a student, she gained practical experience in screenwriting and worked as a screenplay translator on Estonian feature films. Her 2024 drama-comedy Marelle screened in the PÖFF Shorts programme in 2025, as well as at other film festivals outside Estonia. As a freelancer, she has written film criticism for the cultural newspaper Sirp. Since 2026, she has worked as a communications coordinator on the organising team of the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival.
