Siret Campbell <\/strong><\/span>is an Estonian dramaturg, playwright, and theatre pedagogue. She studied philosophy and literature at Bard College Berlin (2004), graduated cum laude from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London with a BA (Hons) in Directing and Dramaturgy in Contemporary Theatre (2008), and earned an MA in Theatre Arts and Theatre Pedagogy from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (2018).<\/p>\n\n
Since 2008, she has worked as a freelance dramaturg and served as Head and Trainer at Drakadeemia MT\u00dc from 2008 to 2024. She was a dramaturgy expert for the S\u00f5ltumatu Tantsu Lava residency programme (2018\u20132019) and worked as Marketing Director at the Estonian National Opera (2019\u20132020). Since 2022, she has been a Senior Lecturer in Dramaturgy at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. Campbell has been a member of the Estonian Directors\u2019 and Dramaturgs\u2019 Association (ELDL) since 2019, served as Vice Chair from 2021 to 2023, and has been Chair since 2023.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n
Her work as a dramaturg and playwright spans dance, drama, opera, and ballet, collaborating with companies including Fine 5, S\u00f5ltumatu Tantsu \u00dchendus, VAT Theatre, Rakvere Theatre, Ugala Theatre, Estonian Theatre for Young Audiences, Estonian Drama Theatre, Vanemuine Theatre, Kuressaare Theatre, and Piip ja Tuut Theatre. She is the author of the play\u00a0<\/span>Beatrice<\/em>\u00a0<\/span>(Vanemuine, 2017; staged reading at J\u00f3zsef Attila Theatre in Budapest, 2020) and has adapted numerous works for the stage, including\u00a0<\/span>The Sweetness At the Bottom of the Pie<\/em>,\u00a0<\/span>Ronia, the Robber’s Daughter<\/em>, and\u00a0<\/span>Ministry of Solutions<\/em>. She also served as librettist and dramaturg for the ballet\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Ash White<\/span><\/em>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>(Vanemuine, 2023). In addition to her theatre work, Campbell has contributed to television as a script adaptor for the ETV series\u00a0<\/span>Lotte Stories<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/em>(2017).<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
