Elisabeth Madisson is an Estonian filmmaker. She graduated in 2024 from the Baltic Film, Media and Arts School with a degree in screenwriting. Her fourth student short film, “What Makes You Happy?” (dir. Alexandra Pärn), was selected for the Official Selection program at the Cannes Indie Shorts Awards. In addition to screenwriting, Elisabeth has directed a short documentary and worked on set as both a 1st and 2nd assistant director as well as a production assistant. She currently works at Nafta Films as a film department coordinator, where she handles various film projects and funding applications. Elisabeth is most drawn to coming-of-age and psychological films that delve into the human soul. She is currently developing her first feature film — “Vareda”, based on the novel of the same name by Sven Mikser.
